A sheet of bland, regular, round nuclei with fine chromatin, small nucleolus and abundant, fragile cytoplasm without clear boundaries. Few bare nuclei are seen in the background. These large “syncitial” sheets are more frequent in benign lesions.
Bare nuclei - A collection of bare nuclei with the same features as those described in the previous image: round nuclei, thin nuclear membrane and fine chromatin. One or more micronucleoli are seen.
A bidimensional group of  bland thyroid cells in a follicular arrangement. There is no crowding or nuclear atypia.
